We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of FAS Gov and FAS Nonprofit 2005.1. The new versions of asset accounting and asset inventory products for both product lines allow us to introduce important new features that will enhance the salability of these products to our unique vertical customers.

The following changes apply to the FAS Nonprofit Asset Accounting and FAS Gov Asset Accounting programs (both Sybase® and SQL editions):

Compatibility with FAS Construction in Progress Accounting. FAS Construction in Progress Accounting version 2.0 can now be used with FAS Nonprofit Asset Accounting and FAS Gov Asset Accounting. This presents an excellent up-sell opportunity to all of your existing FAS Gov and FAS Nonprofit customers!

Enhanced Allocation Feature. Customers can now enter up to 35 allocation fields per G/L Account Number field.

Print Images from the Image Tab. Images can now be printed directly from the Image tab.

New Links Menu. The FAS Universal General Ledger Link and the MIP General Ledger Link are installed automatically with version 2005.1, and are accessed from a new Links menu.

Clear Period Close. The period close fields can now be set to zero for a single asset or for a group of assets.

Purging History When Restoring a Database. History events can now be deleted from a backed-up database that you are restoring. This will reduce the size of the database and improve system performance.

The following changes have been made to the FAS Nonprofit Asset Inventory and FAS Gov Asset Inventory programs (both Sybase® and SQL editions):

Enhanced Express Start Feature. The Express Start feature includes more options, so customers can quickly access the program features they need, when they need them.

Streamlined Inventory Helper. We have simplified the Inventory Helper screens to make the process of setting up an inventory as quick and painless as possible, a great pre-sales demo feature.

New Inventory Manager. The new inventory manager allows customers to download data to their reader before the inventory and receive data from the reader after completing inventories.

Improved Reader Manager. The improved reader manager provides easier access to reader management functions, including setting up a new reader, editing the information for an existing reader, copying a reader setup, renaming an existing reader, and deleting an existing reader from the system.

Enhanced Overdue Assets Alert. The Overdue Assets Alert box now indicates which organization or organizations contain overdue assets. It also navigates to those assets for the currently open organization.

Updated Virtual Reader. We've updated the look and feel of the virtual reader to make using it more intuitive.

Inactivate and Reactivate Asset. Customers can now inactivate or reactivate a group of selected assets from Group View.
